Eva Bagge (1871-1964) Swedish
Eva Bagge was a Swedish artist who specialised in painting alluring interior scenes immersed in warm light.
She studied at the Royal Academy in Stockholm from 1892-1895 under Georg von Rosen and Gustaf Cederström. In 1896 she made a trip to Rome and from there to Paris and to the art colonies of Brittany. On her return to Paris she enrolled at the prestigious and forward thinking Académie Colarossi before retracing her steps back to Sweden in 1898.
Eva Bagge's work is today represented at The National Museum in Stockholm, Gothenburg Art Museum, Malmö Art Museum, Norrköping Art Museum, Eskilstuna Art Museum, Gävle Museum, Östersund Museum and Gripsholm Castle's collections.
