Derek Mynott (British School 1925-1994)
Derek Mynott was born and lived in London. He studied at the Slade School of Fine Art from 1946-1950, alongside Randolph Schwabe and William Coldstream, and was a member of the Royal Society of British Artists and the New English Art Club. He also showed in mixed exhibitions at the Royal Academy. Mynott held a solo show at RBA Galleries in 1953, and later exhibitions including RA's Business Art Galleries from 1983. Mynott won Lord Mayor of London's Annual Award in 1972 and a Silver Medal at the Paris Salon in 1973. The Tate Gallery in London holds his work.
