Elias Erdtman (1863-1945) Swedish
Erdtman studied in Stockholm before further developing his skills in Germany, Holland and Belgium; he also spent a year at the artists' colony in Grez-Sur-Loing which was to prove pivotal in the development of his style. Returning to Sweden he painted landscapes including his acclaimed nocturnal scenes in Vastergotland. Today his work can be seen in many Swedish museums.
