Hans Smatlak Barma (1903 - 1978)
Almost the entire oeuvre of the artist Hans Barma consists of winter scenes showing prominent peaks within the Alps in Switzerland and Austria. Although little is known of his formal artistic education, or where he exhibited, Hans Barma has left a legacy of deftly painted views with almost lifelike light with the appearance of a gentle glow.
